As part of San Dimas HEROES Appreciation Month, twelve local restaurants will donate a portion of each guest check that is accompanied by a special HEROES flyer. Participating restaurants include Applebees, 674 West Arrow Highway; Blimpie Subs, 667 West Arrow Highway; Casa del Rey, 345 West Bonita Avenue; Denny’s, 548 West Arrow Highway; Las Palmas Mexican Seafood, 662 West Arrow Highway; La Villa Kitchen, 1144 Via Verde Avenue; Philly’s Best, 806-C West Arrow Highway; Roady’s Restaurant, 160 West Bonita Avenue; Saffron’s at the Walker House, 121 North San Dimas Avenue, Sizzler, 101 North Village Court; The Dessert Shoppe, 133 East Bonita Avenue; and Tony’s Italian Restaurant, 1184 Via Verde Avenue.

Proceeds from this fundraiser will go towards the construction of a permanent Veterans Memorial honoring all San Dimas residents who have served in the Armed Forces. In addition to having a percentage of your guest check going to the Veterans Memorial Fund, you will be automatically entered into a special drawing each time you visit a participating restaurant and fill out a HEROES flyer. Prizes include dinners and gift certificates from the restaurants supporting the HEROES project. The more times you visit these restaurants, the greater your chances of winning.

Fliers will be available at various locations throughout the City, and by visiting the HEROES website, www.san dimasheroes.org. Flyers may be photocopied for repeat visits to your favorite restaurant, so get ready to "eat out" often in September. Not only will you enjoy a great meal, you will be demonstrating your support of all the men and women who have served, or are currently serving our country. And, you may win free dinners or gift certificates to the restaurants that have so generously agreed to participate.
