San Dimas Community Hospital will host its annual Health Fair Expo on Saturday, April 29, 2006, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The hospital is located at 1350 West Covina Boulevard in San Dimas. The Health Fair will feature a full range of free screenings for adults to promote and help ensure a healthy lifestyle. Such basic health screenings for adults include height and weight; blood pressure; and vision screening. In addition to the basic screenings above, participants will find a wide range of other services and information including, body mass index (BMI) determinations, glucose screening, and screenings for lung function, bone density and much more. The purpose of the fair is to encourage preventative health care, the early detection of potential health problems, and education, the promotion of health awareness and action toward improved health. The screenings are not intended to replace a thorough physical examination. Participants with any apparent abnormalities discovered at the Health Fair will be encouraged to consult a health care provider. |
