Sacramento — The Speaker of the Assembly appointed Assemblyman Dennis Mountjoy as the Vice-Chairman of the Assembly Governmental Organization Committee. This committee is responsible for issues relating to alcohol, tobacco, gambling, and the structure of California government. One of Speaker Fabian Nunez’s responsibilities as Speaker of the Assembly is to appoint qualified members to serve on committees and to serve as leaders of committees. “I am pleased that the Speaker has appointed me to serve as Vice-Chair of the Governmental Organization Committee,” said Assemblyman Mountjoy. |
