WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congressman David Dreier (R-San Dimas,CA), Chairman of the House Rules Committee, voted to approve a resolution commending our troops for their efforts in the Global War on Terror and reaffirming our commitment to victory. H. Res. 861, declaring that the United States will prevail in the Global War on Terror, the struggle to protect freedom from the terrorist adversary, was approved with bipartisan support, 256-153. “The House vote sends a strong signal to friends and foes alike – the United States of America is absolutely committed to winning the war on terror,” Dreier said. “There are many battlefields in this war. |
Iraq and Afghanistan are the most challenging. Our troops are serving there with valor, honor, and incredible commitment. They deserve to know this Congress stands behind them and their mission.
